Psychological Immigration Evaluations

What is a Psychological Immigration Evaluation?

Psychological evaluations are psychosocial assessments that can be beneficial in making a difference in the outcome of your case. The evaluation is used to help the immigration courts determine whether an individual will be able to remain lawfully in the United States. I have specialized training in diagnosis, trauma, domestic violence, human trafficking, and the asylum process. I have extensive experience working with unaccompanied minors, refugees, immigrants, and individuals seeking asylum who are under supervision through the ISAP program. My reports incorporate strong clinical material with an understanding of the unique requirements of USCIS.

I provide evaluations for the following cases:

  • Extreme Hardship (I-601 and I-601A)

  • Asylum

  • Cancellation of Removal

  • T-Visa

  • U-Visa

  • Vawa

What to expect during the evaluation

For the evaluation, we meet 2-3 times. If an interpreter is needed that time might be extended. I’m a native Spanish speaker therefore can conduct the evaluation in Spanish if needed. Evaluations are conducted using a HIPAA complaint virtual platform.
